The time in a clock is 20 minutes past 2. Find the angle between the hands of the clock.
Answer: Option B
Angle between 2 & 4 at the centre is 60⁰. In 20 minutes, the hour hand moves 10⁰. Thus, angle between the two hands at 2 hrs. 20 minutes would be
60 – 10 = 50⁰.
Hence, option 2.
If a clock is kept on the table in such a way that at 3:10 pm the hour hand points south, after how much time will the minute hand point east?
Answer: Option C
At 3:10, the hour hand is pointing south. So according to this position, the 9 hour mark is in the North and the 12 hour mark is in the east. The minute hand will point east when it points to the 12 hour mark, which will be after 50 minutes.
Hence, option 3.
