Explanation :
We will address each person by the first letter of their name.
From (1): Since four people are facing south, the other 4 will be facing north.
From (9): Those who are standing at the corners face the same direction.
∴ There are two cases:
Case 1: Those who are standing at the corners face noth.
From (3): Falguni is standing next to only one person. Hence, Falguni is at one of the corners corner.
From (3): Falguni is standing third to the right of Aakash.
From (2): Eshaan is standing third to the left of Aakash.
There are two possibilites
From (8): Bijoy is standing exactly between Chetan and Falguni.
From (5): Chetan is standing next to 2 people facing north. This is only possible in case 1 (a).
Now we have 4 people who are facing north i.e.e, A, B, F and the one standing on extreme left. Hence, the remaining four people face south.
From (6): One of the immediate neighbours of Eshaan is Dinesh, who is facing north. Hence, Dinesh will be the one standing on extreme left.
From (7): The immediate neighbours of Hardik are facing in opposite directions. Hence, Hardik is standing next to Aakash.
Hence, Gautam is standing between Eshaan and Hardik.
∴ The final arrangement is:
Case 2: Those who are standing at the corners face south.
This is only possible in case 2 (a).
From (6): One of the immediate neighbours of Eshaan is Dinesh, who is facing north. Hence, Dinesh be standing third from the left end.
From (7): The immediate neighbours of Hardik are facing in opposite directions.
There is no possibility of Hardik standing such that both his neighbours face opposite directions.
Hence case 2 is rejected.
∴ The only correct arrangement is case 1 (a):
H is facing south and the person third to the left of H is B.
Hence, option (a).

Answer the next 5 questions based on the information given below.
Eight persons – A, B, C, D, P, Q, R and S – are working with eight different IT companies among ICICI, City Union, UCO, SBI, Canara, PNB, IDBI and HDFC, are sitting around a circular table, facing the centre, not necessarily in the same order.
Following information is known about them.
- A works neither with IDBI nor with PNB.
- The person who works with IDBI is second to the left of the person who works with Canara.
- R is sitting second to the right of the person working with PNB.
- S and C are not sitting together.
- B is third to the left of the person who works with SBI.
- D and R are the neighbours of the person working with City Union.
- The person who works with ICICI is second to the left of D.
- C works neither with Canara nor with HDFC.
- P works with UCO and is adjacent to the person who works with SBI.
- There are two persons sitting between the person working with City Union and Q.
- Q and S are not neighbours.
- D works with SBI.

Explanation :
Let us draw the arrangement in the following order.
From (12): D works with SBI.
From (6): D and R are the neighbours of the person working with City Union.
From (3): R is sitting second to the right of the person working with PNB.
From (7): The person who works with ICICI is second to the left of D.
From (5): B is third to the left of the person who works with SBI.
From (9): P works with UCO and is adjacent to the person who works with SBI.
We can make the following arrangement:
From (2): The person who works with IDBI is second to the left of the person who works with Canara.
This is possible only when B works with Canara.
From (4) and (11): S and C are not sitting together, also, S and Q are not sitting together.
This means one of S, C or Q works with City Union.
From (1): A works neither with IDBI nor with PNB.
This means A work either with HDFC or City Union. But one of S, C or Q works with City Union. Hence, A works with HDFC.
Now since, S is not adjacent to either C or Q, S has to work with City Union.
From (10): There are two persons sitting between the person working with City Union and Q.
Hence, Q works with PNB and C works with IDBI.
∴ The final arrangement is:
The person sitting immediately to the right of C is Q who works with PNB.
Hence, option (a).
